How long do you need at Capilano Suspension Bridge?

Two to three hours covers it, and four is unhurried. Crossing the main bridge takes 5 to 15 minutes. The rest of the time goes on Treetops Adventure, the Cliffwalk, the exhibits and about 1.8 km of paved path and boardwalk. How the time actually goes

Add those numbers up and you land between two and three hours, which is what most of the over 1.2 million annual visitors spend. Four hours is the pace at which you sit down, watch a guided talk and eat something. Under two hours means skipping one of the three engineered walks, and the one people skip is usually Treetops Adventure, which is the wrong one to lose.

The ticket is timed entry and valid one day from first activation, so you are not being pushed out at a fixed hour. Parking, on the other hand, is sold in three-hour blocks at CAD $9.00, which is the real clock if you drove — details here.

Fitting it into a day

The park is about 15 minutes from downtown, so a morning slot plus the visit plus the return is a half day and no more. The seven-hour Grouse Mountain tour and the 6.5-hour city and Lookout day are both built around roughly that much time at Capilano, with the rest going on transfers and the second attraction. Book the earliest slot you can and the whole thing compresses.
